Bio Toilet
Our team completed the construction of a dry (bio) toilet system, beginning with site leveling and reinforced concrete foundations. We built brick walls and internal chambers using locally mixed mortar and filler concrete, carefully leveling and reinforcing each layer with rebar. The finished structure includes multiple sealed chambers designed for durability, sanitation, and long-term community use.
The dry toilet operates without water by separating waste into sealed chambers. After use, users add a layer of sawdust or ash, which absorbs moisture, controls odor, and supports natural decomposition. Over time, waste safely breaks down inside the chambers, reducing environmental impact while improving sanitation in areas without reliable water or sewage systems.
