Retaining Wall

This was the third and final retaining wall Cabrillo has built for Green Communities, forming a critical part of the new coffee drying and production site. Each terrace plays a key role in the process, from drying and roasting to packaging. Before arriving in Providencia, our team studied the engineering principles behind retaining walls, including force distribution and foundation design. On site, we applied these concepts hands-on, learning rebar shaping, concrete mixing, and brick leveling under the guidance of local experts- Omar taught us how to bend the rebar to form the skeleton of the base, and Jorge taught us how to level the bricks and make the concrete.
