Hi Alejandro here, today Chris and I met the kindest granny in the airport, she was eager to learn about our trip and future ambitions. Furthermore, she shared excitement of her future endeavors in Costa Rica.
Turns out she was going to meet up with 15 random people in Costa Rica, and go zip lining among other activities. It was truly awe inspiring, and I can’t believe how ambitious she was at her age. I hope to be like that someday.
She shared stories of her studies, mainly about how her father wished dearly for her to study mechanical engineering at her beloved school; Stanford.
She encouraged me to apply, giving me assurance that if my ambitions were great enough, I would make an impact.
Among talking to Cheryl, we were able to get some delicious matcha before our flight. Throughout the flight, I felt energized so I decided to watch “the notebook” which taught me various things about romance.
After, I decided to reflect on my life and journey by listening to some music and relaxing.
It’s unbelievable how fast time passes. To think that 2 years ago I promised myself to join Cabrillo engineering and become apart of the Abroad program just so I could return to Costa Rica.
With an ambition to learned and help to my best abilities.
I’m so excited and full of hope! I love my team and can’t wait to meet future teammates.
